Today, July 10, we caught the 11:05 National Express coach to Stratford, a non-stop ride that takes just over an hour.  We traveled through beautiful little Cotswold villages--thatched roofs, native stone, the whole works--and got to Stratford in time for lunch at a small sandwich shop in the center of town.  From there we proceeded to Holy Trinity Church, where Thomas gave us a talk about the church and Shakespeare's grave.  After touring the church and seeing the grave ourselves, we sat by the Avon and wrote in our journals, then adjourned for informal strolling until the 4:00 coach took us safely and swiftly back to Oxford, only this time on the M40.  No Cotswold villages on the way back.
